Kaye Harris of Berthoud, CO is coming to Deb St.
Jacques' farm in Argyle, NY to present a dog clinic working
sheep on June 2, l999.
She will then be going to Chris Davenport's
farm in Wallingford, VT on June 3, l999 to work cattle and sheep.
Kaye is an ASCA stockdog judge as well as a breeder,
trainer and trialler of Australian Shepherds.
Kaye will be demonstrating a technique where the
dog learns to respond to moving off your pressure. This technique
can be used on puppies as young as l0 weeks so that when you go
to stock the dog understands what you are asking them to do as
far as responding to your presence. Come see another herding
idea.

Bring your own chairs and lunch. There is a deli
in Wallingford (8/l0 mile from farm).
Water is available at both farms.
Dogs must be on leash unless in arena working.
Reservations must be made by May 2l, l999.
Specific directions from where you are coming from
will be given upon reservation.
Wallingford is located on Route 7, south of Rutland,
9 miles; 40 minutes from I-9l (Rockingham); an hour from Deb's
place in Argyle and about l 3/4 hours from Albany (through Bennington).
Argyle is located on Rt 40; l/2 hr. from Glens Falls;
about an hour from Albany.
